Find the Flying Moon Farmstand
Our small farmstand sits on the edge of the farm, surrounded by forest, pasture, and gardens.
Visitors are welcome to wander the gardens, sip herbal tea, and experience where their food actually comes from.
Directions
The road out here winds through rivers, forest and farmland.
As you get close, you might feel the rhythm of the land slowing a little (and your own body with it).
It’s a short drive from Carleton Place, Almonte, and Ottawa - and a world away once you arrive.
Why Our Vegetables Are Pay-What-You-Can
At Flying Moon Farm, we want fresh, local food to be truly accessible - for kids with a handful of coins, for neighbours stocking their kitchens, and for those who can give a little more to support the system.
Our Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) model removes barriers, letting everyone shop together without labels, lines, or the need to identify as “in need.”
It’s more than a pricing choice - it’s a practice in community, equity, and care.
Every carrot, leafy green, and herb you take home was grown in soil nurtured by our animals and the seasons. When you choose what to pay, you’re participating in a local food system rooted in trust, transparency, and connection.
