Forest-to-Cup Herbal Tea Rooted in Season and Place

Flying Moon Tea is crafted in relationship with the forests, gardens, and wild edges surrounding our farm.

Each blend begins with careful attention to the plants themselves. Some herbs are grown in our gardens—peppermint, lemon balm, holy basil, pineapple sage—while others are respectfully gathered from the forest, including cedar, raspberry leaf, nettle, pine, and wild chamomile. Our harvest practices follow seasonal rhythms and principles of reciprocity, ensuring the health of the plants and the ecosystems they belong to.

Flying Moon Tea offers something rare in the modern tea world:

Every cup of tea is hand harvested, hand dried, and blended in small batches. Because we work in partnership with the seasons, our blends change throughout the year. No two harvests are exactly the same, and that’s part of the beauty.

herbal tea shaped by place, season, and care—an experience we call forest-to-cup.

Our teas are released in small seasonal batches, depending on what the forest and gardens offer each year. While we have rotating offerings, explore two of our most famous blends below.

Forest Tea

Nettle · Cedar · Pine

A grounding blend inspired by the deep forest surrounding the farm.

Mineral-rich nettle provides a nourishing base, while cedar and pine bring bright evergreen notes that evoke walking through a woodland after rain.

Spring Forest Harvest · Hand gathered May–June

Harvest Notes:
This batch comes from young spring nettle and fresh cedar tips gathered at the edge of the forest after the spring rains.

Calming Tea

Wild Chamomile · Peppermint · Lemon Balm · Pineapple Sage

A gentle blend crafted to soften the edges of a busy day. Wild chamomile brings a light apple-like sweetness, while peppermint and lemon balm offer bright, cooling notes that settle the nervous system. Pineapple sage adds a subtle warmth and soft floral finish.

Seasonal Batch:
Late Summer Garden Harvest · Hand gathered July–September

Harvest Notes:
This batch comes from chamomile gathered at the wild edges of the farm and lemon balm, peppermint, and pineapple sage grown in the gardens where these herbs choose to thrive each season.

What Makes Flying Moon Tea Different

In a world where most herbal tea is produced at industrial scale, Flying Moon Tea follows a very different path.

Many of our herbs are harvested from the surrounding forest ecosystem. Plants like cedar, nettle, raspberry leaf, and horsetail grow in relationship with the land and wildlife that share this place.

Our harvesting practices prioritize reciprocity, seasonal awareness, and plant health, ensuring these living communities continue to thrive.

Other herbs grow in the gardens surrounding the farm. Rather than forcing plants into strict growing plans, we pay attention to where they naturally flourish.

Some years peppermint thrives in abundance. Other years lemon balm or pineapple sage takes the lead. Our blends respond to what the plants offer each season.

Forest-to-Cup Ecology

Flying Moon Tea is harvested, dried, and blended entirely by hand.

There are no factory greenhouses or large processing machines involved—just careful harvesting, slow drying, and thoughtful blending. This process preserves the aroma, flavour, and vitality of each plant in a way that industrial systems simply cannot replicate.
